All About Yaba

Yaba is a journalist in the making.

Yaba joined VCU's Robertson School of Media and Culture in 2020 after spending her first year undeclared. She studied  broadcast journalism concentration and international studies with a social justice. She's an active member of SPJ and NABJ, and served as president of VCU's NABJ chapter until graduating in December 2023.

 

She's written for Spoon University, Unheard Gems, Listen In With KNN, and Virginia Public Media. She also runs a blog called Guile-Free Journal while volunteering at a local music non-profit, DMV Music Alliance.
